This course will first give you an overview of the seven main functions of HRM. You will learn how to develop strategic human resource management plans and learn why diversity and multiculturalism are important to the success of organizations. You will then cover the recruitment, interviewing, testing, and selection of employees as well as learn the goals of a compensation plan. In this course you will also look at the various types of management styles, the types of performance issues that occur in the workplace, and the considerations for initiating layoffs or downsizing. The course will also cover the rights of employees, the various appraisal methods and the health concerns that can affect employees at work.
Obviously, Human Resource department works as a backbone for any company/organization and acts as a medium that links employees with the management of the organization. They play an essential role in building employee engagement strategies and also help in achieving company/organization’s goals.
